Michelina (Michelle) Cipoletti was born in Corona, NY, 104 years ago in the summer of 1920 to Alberto and Ignazia Rodolosi. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY with her 3 siblings, Maria and Nicholas, who predeceased her, and her sister Esta. She was a loving wife to Constantine (Gus) Cipoletti for 54 years until his death in 2000.
She is survived by her three children, Ann Aurelio, Albert Cipoletti, and Artie Cipoletti; her son-in-law, Joe Aurelio; and daughters-in-law, Grace Cipoletti and Donna Cipoletti.
Michelina proudly stated that she had eleven grandchildren, one of whom was born on her birthday, and is survived by them and 19 great-grandchildren and her sister, Esta Davis. Her family was always a source of pride, and she was always a loving, caring, quiet and unassuming woman. She was a devout Catholic who loved attending mass on Sundays.
Michelina inherited a great love of music, especially opera, from her father, having attended an opera at the Metropolitan Opera House as a young girl. She was always captivated by the music. Michelina also enjoyed ballet and, as a young woman asked her father if she could train in ballet, but he did not consent to her request.
Michelina played the piano for her family's enjoyment and relaxation and sang in the church choir. Her life was all about family and music. One of her favorite piano pieces was Claire De Lune. She was filled with grace, wisdom, great strength and love, and her spirit was a source of pride to her entire family. On every passing day she will be missed, though never forgotten.
