“Michael Josephs was born on June 28th, 1955 and passed away on August 5th, 2020. After moving to New York from Jamaica with his four siblings (Claudette, Jennifer, Donna, and Larry) he graduated High School in the Bronx and then joined the United States Air Force in 1975 where he was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico.
After his honorable discharge, he returned to the Bronx, rekindled a relationship with his soon to be wife Eartha, and got married in 1984. One year later they gave birth to his daughter Claudia Joseph, and then in 1986 gave birth to his son Brian Joseph.
The family moved from the city to Long Island, where Michael worked most of his life as a plumber by trade, and Maintenance Management for various Rental Properties across the greater Long Island area.
More importantly though, Michael was a father, a husband, a friend. His love for his family and friends was seen through his tireless effort to provide a better life for his family. The lessons that he instilled in his family revolved around the idea of loving those in your life and ALWAYS making decisions based on the greater good of that familial unit. He found joy in starting projects around the house, and sometimes he would even finish them. He loved to play computer games, make small talk with strangers, have a cold beer on the deck, and make jokes to get people laughing.
In honor of his memory, Michael’s memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 10th, 2020 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home.”
