Mary C. Leddy

Mary Catherine Leddy, 88, of Reading passed away on Tuesday June 30, 2020 in her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mary was the daughter of the late Eugene J. and Mildred A. (Lynott) Keely. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Eugene T. Leddy.

Mrs. Leddy, a devout Catholic, is survived by seven children; Robert Leddy of Canton Ga, Gene Leddy of St. James NY, Dan Leddy of Bethlehem Pa, Bill Leddy of Central Islip, NY Tom Leddy of Reading Pa, Nancy E. Leddy of Reading Pa, and Katie Leddy of Hampstead NC. She is also survived by four sisters, sixteen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

During her many years of being a dedicated and wonderful homemaker, wife and mother, Mary worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading, holiday visits and parties with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Not to be understated, Mary was a devoted fan to “her” Philadelphia Phillies.

A mass will be held on Friday July 17 at 9:45 AM (visitors welcome) at St. Thomas Moore Church in Hauppauge, NY followed by burial services at Calverton National Cemetery.
