Mary A. Cella

Cella, Mary A. of Hicksville, NY passed peacefully May 9, 2021 in her 95^th year. Mary was born in Brooklyn, NY to Bernard McVey and Catherine McVey. Mary married Edward Cella on August 17^th, 1946 in the church of St. Paul the Apostle in Manhattan, NY. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward, her loving parents Bernard and Catherine, and her siblings Bernard McVey, Catherine Hanley-Smith, and John and James McKenna, and her cherished granddaughter Jennifer. She is survived by her four loving children and their spouses James Cella (Kathleen), Ann Marie Buckstein (Dennis), Jean Gallina (Howard DeFelice), and Patricia DeBono (Joseph). Mary was loved dearly by her sister Alice McMenamin. Mary was beloved by her grandchildren Michelle (Stephen), Dennis Edward (Kerry), Frankie, Mary, Patricia (Allen), Christopher, and Emma, and her great grandchildren Alesha (Mark), Eric, Samantha, Dennis Richard, Brenna, Cameron, and Kendall. Mary enjoyed sewing, painting, and gardening but most importantly was devoted to loving and caring for her family. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
