Marguerite “Peggy” Eltman of Commack, New York passed away peacefully on March 23, 2021 at the age of 96. Peggy was born in the Bronx, New York on August 24, 1924 to Marguerite Allbright and Harold Lawrence.

Peggy is predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Joe” to whom she was married for 59 years. Peggy is survived by her sister, Doris Ruoff and her late husband, Eugene. She is predeceased by her brother, Harold Lawrence and his late wife Bridget. Peggy is survived by her two sons, John Eltman and his wife Donna of Commack, New York and Thomas Eltman and his wife Rochelle of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is predeceased by her two daughters, Dale Eltman and Noreen Eltman. She is survived by her 5 grandchildren, Florence Eltman, Jack Eltman (Charlene), Thomas Eltman, Erin Witt (Zach) and Danielle Amsler (Allen). Peggy is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren.

Peggy always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was active in many organizations and was a proud community member of Commack, New York for 65 years. Peggy retired from the Commack School District after 25 years. In their retirement Peggy and Joe enjoyed traveling worldwide and sharing their experiences. Peggy will live in our hearts forever.
