Marie Margaret Homan

Marie Margaret Homan Tuttle passed away peacefully with her Daughters by her side. Marie was born June 11th 1943 and was the only child of Victor and Margaret Tuttle of Eastport NY. Marie grew up in Eastport NY and after high school, Marie attended beauty school in Bayshore, NY. After graduation she worked locally and eventually opened up a hair salon with her mother in their family home. Marie met her husband, Newton while Marie was doing Newton’s mother and grandmothers hair. They were married her for 49 years. They had two daughters, Allison and Kristy . She then left her hair salon to raise her 2 daughters eventually returning to the work force locally. She worked for Masterhand USA and then for her husbands real estate business. She went on to watch her 3 grandchildren while her daughter worked . She cherished the time she spent with them. Finally she worked at East Moriches Middle School as a lunch room monitor where she could go see her grandkids during the day. Marie loved boating . She was referred to as the cool girl in the neighborhood for having her own boat where she often went on trips with her girlfriends. After she was married; she enjoyed family trips on her beloved Home N’ away boat to block island or Shinnecock. Marie loved talking about her family history in Eastport and her friends from the area . She loved spending time with her 2 daughters and grandchildren . She is survived by her husband Newton , her daughters Allison. ( Brett pre-deceased her), Kristy/Sujay and her 3 grandkids Joshua , Garrett and Emma.
