Marguerite Mitchell

Marguerite Mitchell, aged 97, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2024 in Sayville, New York. Born on July 14, 1927 in Troy, Alabama. Marguerite was known for her loving and caring nature, always willing to offer support and comfort to those around her. She was a woman of strong faith, strong will, and steadfast in her convictions throughout her life. 

Marguerite attended Troy High School and remained an active and cherished member of her community. She was a devout member of the Long Island Baptist Church, where she 

participated in various church activities and formed many lifelong friendships.

She went home to be with her Lord on September 19, 2024. Her love of family, friends will be remembered by all whose lives that she touched and loved so dearly.

She was preceded by her parents Mr. & Mrs. Wilbur and Amanda Bell Thomas. Sister, Mrs. Edith Pearl (Little Sister) McNeal. Daughter, Mrs. Rachel Mabry and grandson Mr. George J. Robinson.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for her family. Marguerite is survived by her son, Louis H. Mitchell of Pocatello, Idaho; her daughter, Lucille Robinson of Troy, Alabama; and her grandchildren, James C. Robinson (Tess) of Las Vegas, Nevada, Charles R. Robinson of Arkansas, Isaac J. Mitchell (Michelle) of Chubbuck, Idaho, Brea M Revier (Jeffrey) of Elko, Nevada, Wayne James (Jennifer)of Painted Post, New York. Robert Curry Jr., James K. Curry Gwendolyn Curry, all of Bayshore, New York. Marguerite wants to give special thanks to her beloved granddaughter Jacqueline Curry who was her loving caregiver during her final months. Twenty-three great grandchildren: Christopher J. Robinson, Tiffani C. Robinson of Las Vegas, Nv. Twins Cedric & Malakai Mitchell of Pocatello, ID, Rory I. Revier, Valley M. J. Revier of Elko, NV. Sean Konrad, Jerome Stenzel, Tyrese Hauck of Germany, Natalia Robinson, Dante Robinson of Patchogue, NY George Robinson Jr. Jewel Nelson (David), of Bristol, Ct and Matthew Robinson of Australia. Marrisa Lee, Carrisa Lee of Painted Post, NY Amanda R. Curry, Michael P. Curry of Bayshore, NY, Kyle J. Morales-Curry of Bayshore, NY Brooke E. Brown, Seth x. Brown of Bayshore, NY Michael Porter of Germany. Fifteen Great-great grandchildren and Three Great-great-great grandchildren.

Services to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Moloney Funeral Home in Holbrook, New York. Marguerite's family invites those who knew her to join in celebrating her remarkable life.
