Madeline Carol Leonardo

Madeline Carol Leonardo (nee) Lindsay, 87, passed away on March 26, 2025. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her three daughters, Carol (Paul) Mariella, Donna (Al) D’Urso, Margaret (Michael) Rivera; her 6 grandchildren, Danielle (Robert) Cerulli, Matthew (Caitlin) Mariella, Brandon Rivera, Ryan Rivera, Joseph D’Urso, Michael (Rena) D’Urso: and 3 great-grandchildren, Elijah, Aria and Mason. She is also survived by her brother John Lindsay, her sisters-in-law, brother-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Madeline, know to all as “Maddy” was married to Angelo for almost 65 years. Their devotion to each other and their family was admired by everyone that knew them. Maddy and Angelo’s life was an adventure often moving to provide their children with a better life. Everywhere they lived they met wonderful people and maintained those friendships for the rest of their lives. She loved entertaining and the door to their home was always open to friends and family.

Maddy loved children and that love was reflected in many of the jobs she held over the years. She was a bus driver for the Cleary School and a teaching assistant at daycare. She also worked in retail which was a fitting role as she loved to shop!

When she and her husband Angelo retired and moved to Florida first to Spring Hill and then to Orlando, they were active in their parish church of St. Isaac Jogues. Maddy was a Eucharistic Minister, participating in women’s groups, Bible study and fundraising activities for the church. She led a life of devotion to God, family and friends and her love was an example that friends and family have said inspired their lives.
