Louis J. Carol

Louis Carol of Holbrook NY died on Saturday, July 31, 2021.
He was born April 27, 1927 in Brooklyn NY, to the late Lucy and Gabriel Carol. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his loving wife of 33 years Lucille and his brother Frank and sister Marie.
Lou was a WWII veteran and a proud union printer, retiring from Newsday in 1992. A skilled craftsman, he was always busy with home improvement projects or building model ships.
Along with his second wife Anita, Lou was an original member of The Colony at Holbrook. He worked on the Colonist newsletter, was on the board of directors, and architect committee.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Anita; children Linda Markowsky, James Carol, Donna Carol and husband John Kratz and Thomas Carol and wife Nancy; step-children Paul Porcelli, Mark Porcelli and Lisa Middleton and husband Russell; seven grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
