Lisa Ringhoff, devoted wife, amazing mother, and dedicated teacher, passed away on January 19, 2021 at the age of 57 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Lisa was born June 10, 1963 to Carl and Lynn Lind in Patchogue NY. She graduated from Westhampton Beach High School in June of 1981. She met her husband, Willy Ringhoff, when they were children at the Remsenburg Yacht Club. They dated for 10 years and were married in April of 1990. They shared a beautiful life together and raised 3 amazing children, Willy, Erik and Catie.
Lisa completed her Bachelor’s and her Master’s degree in education at St. Jospeh’s College Long Island Campus. She was a teacher at East Moriches Elementary School for 27 years. Lisa’s pride was in her school and students, and she shared her passion for learning with thousands of children over the years.
She retired in January of 2021 just shortly before her passing.
Lisa was kind, generous and selfless. She would give her time and resources to friends and family without thought of self and would not think twice about stopping to help a stranger in need.
Lisa is survived by her husband, William Ringhoff, her children, William Ringhoff, Richard Ringhoff and Catherine Ringhoff, and her siblings, Stormy Lisinski, Kris Cannaday and Rob Lind.
Lisa’s beautiful life will be celebrated on Saturday January 23rd . In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to East End Hospice.
