Leo Ray Rutledge Jr., a dedicated Vice Principal at Wingate High School in Brooklyn, NY, has sadly passed away on July 28, 2024 in Lake Grove, NY. He was born on April 25, 1943, in Carthage, Missouri, to his loving parents The Late Leo and The Late Clara Rutledge.
Leo will be deeply missed by his surviving family. He is survived by his wife Janet and their children: Chris (Noelle Kurtin), Janet (Robert), Donna (Charles), Laura (John). His legacy also continues through his grandchildren: Christopher VanBrunt, Kirsten VanBrunt, Kaitlyn Dickson, Amanda Rutledge, Matthew Dickson, Chloe Rutledge, Emily Strange, Ashley Strange and his great-grandson Benjamin VanBrunt they will cherish the memories of their beloved grandfather.
A man of integrity and dedication to education, Leo will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. His commitment to shaping young minds at Wingate High School has left a lasting impact on the community he served.
Leo's passion for education and unwavering dedication to his family will forever be remembered with deep admiration and respect by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace.
