Antoinette Leda Brai, age 83, of Brick, NJ, passed away on August 27th in Brick, NJ.
Leda was born in Tunis, North Africa to Francesco and Giuseppa Seminara on July 7, 1939. Leda and her parents immigrated to the United States during World War II. She went to school in Brooklyn and was accepted to St. John’s university. She married Joseph Brai, with whom she had 4 children: Robert, Peter, Donna and David. They lived in Stony Brook, Long Island for almost 23 years. She worked as a Revenue Officer and Project Manager for the IRS in Washington, DC for over 30 years. She was involved in the church choir and volunteered for other church duties. She gave to many charities over the years. She loved to garden, do the NY Times crossword, needle point and was a fabulous cook. Everyone raved about her cooking.
Leda is preceded in death by her parents Francesco and Giuseppa Seminara, her brother Paul, ex-husband Joseph and son Peter.
Leda is survived by Robert Brai, Donna Arias, David Brai and her grandchildren: Dineen, Joseph, David John (DJ), Marie, Zachary, Melissa and Paul.
