Kevin Schnupp was born on March 13th 1949 in Brooklyn, NY and passed away from complications from Sarcoma on June 24th 2024 in Stony Brook, NY. Although he was known for his love of life, kindness and selfless nature more than anything his generosity and infectious smile gave him the reputation of being the gentleman that he was. Kevin had an immense love and pride for his country and served in the United States Army as a Sergeant from 1967-1969. Helping others was always his way and he continued this by joining the NYPD from 1970-1989. Here he retired as a Detective.
Nothing made him happier than being with his family. On any given day you could see him chasing homerun balls on his Grandson’s baseball fields or proudly holding up dance trophies at his Granddaughter's dance competitions. He was married to his loving wife and best friend, Susan Schnupp for 54 years. Their love story is truly an inspiration. He leaves behind his children ~ Stacey Saladino, Kevin Schnupp, Michelle Greene and late daughter Kelly Schnupp. His Son in Law James Saladino, Daughter in Law Jennifer Schnupp and late Son in Law Tim Greene. His treasured Grandchildren, the lights of his life, James, Brianna and Kaylee Saladino, Kevin Schnupp, Mariah and Timmy Greene. He was a loving Brother-in-law to Theresa and Richard Kaupke. A beloved Uncle to Susan Wilson, Al Brust, Sharon Leest, Heather Coiro, Michael Schnupp and Patricia Schnupp.
He was the light in every room that he entered. Happiness followed him everywhere he went. We will miss him for the rest of our days. In remembrance of Kevin live each day with a thankful heart and a big smile.
