June P. Barreiro-Murphy

June P. Barreiro-Murphy, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY was born July 3, 1947, to George Benoff and Ruth (Clinton) Benoff. She departed this life June 5, 2022, at Lake Ronkonkoma, NY, at the age of 74. She attended Sachem High School, (class of 1964) where she made life-long friends.

She retired from her work as a bookkeeper at H&J Tool & Die and enjoyed spending her retirement cooking and entertaining family and friends.

She was an amazing cook and took great pleasure in making favorite meals for loved ones to celebrate their special occasions. One of her favorite times of year was Christmas Eve when she would host Christmas Eve open house. She was a great decorator and always made a house feel truly like a home.

She loved being a mother and grandmother. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren and showering them with love. She had so much fun taking them to the movies, the Ronkonkoma fair, and celebrating their birthdays.

She is preceded in death by her long-time partner, Christopher Murphy. She is survived by her daughter Laura Bolsover and her husband Bill of Weymouth, MA; her son, Gregg Barreiro, his wife Melanie, and her three grandchildren, Gregg Jr., Alexis, and Danielle of Port Jefferson Station, NY; her brother Gregg Benoff and her niece Brooke Mccoy; and many devoted friends.

Services will be held at Moloney’s Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. Visitation will be Saturday, June 11^th from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm to 9pm (prayer service 8:00pm – 8:30pm). Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, June 12th from 10:00am – 11:00am (closing prayer at 11:00am).
