Juan Cruz

Our father, Juan Cruz, sadly passed away Sunday morning, March 6, 2022 at the age of 83 after a long battle with prostate cancer. Take heart that he lived a long life and in the end he was surrounded by his immediate family of loved ones (including his three charming and loving granddaughters) on the the evening before his passing. Exactly what he would have wanted. He passed quietly, pain-free and comfortably that very next evening. His wishes to be cremated we’re carried out and services for our family and friends are planned for Saturday, March 19th from 2-6 at Moloney Funeral Home in Port Jefferson Station in order to gather our family and friends to honor his long life. Our father Juan Cruz is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years Marta Cruz, his sister Maria Elena Cruz and his brother Samuel Cruz, in addition he also has three children, his son Curtis K Cruz and (Kaycee Montero -formerly Cassandra Cruz) and his second born son Eric Cruz (and his partner Sue Volkman), and his daughter Elisa A Cruz – formerly Elisa Bogen (and her partner George J. Van Dorn), his three darling and sweet granddaughters Jessica Bogen, Brooke Bogen, and Alexa Volkman will surely miss their beloved Grandpa or ‘Pop Pop’! Thank you for the outpouring of love and condolences. We had a very close relationship with my father and he will be missed deeply as the patriarch of the family. He also served as a father figure to so many of our friends and family and his loss will be felt deeply by so many of our friends that he opened his heart and mind to and treated with kindness, love and advise throughout the years! We want you all to know that we appreciate ALL of your kind words and your thoughtful comments and pictures!
