Joseph Buckshaw Jr.

Joseph Buckshaw Jr., age 74, died peacefully at his home in Holbrook, NY on Friday February 25th 2022. Joe was born on June 3, 1947 in Brooklyn, NY, the first son of the late Mary and Joseph Buckshaw Sr. After graduating from Hofstra University, he worked at Grumman Aerospace for 25 years. In 1991, he pursued his dream and founded Urgent Computer Care. Joe’s life was dedicated to his family and friends. In 1962, he fell in love with Elaine McAuley over a quadratic equation. Known as Papa, he was the fixer of all things broken.
He joined his beloved parents and chosen sibling, Sal Lentini, in heaven. He leaves behind a loving community of family and friends who will cherish his memory including – his beloved wife of 57 years, Elaine McAuley Buckshaw; loving father to his four children, Elaine (Scott) Densley, Lisa Buckshaw, Joe (Colleen) Buckshaw III, and Jennifer (Ben) Dailey; cherished Papa to eleven adored grandchildren, Ryan, Jesse, and Ian Densley, Mikayla Buckshaw, Joe IV, Grace, Kate, and Andrew Buckshaw, Madison, Lauren, and Sarah Dailey. He will be missed by chosen siblings Dennis & Kathleen McAuley, Kathleen Lentini, and Jim & Judy McAuley. He leaves four siblings Dennis, Raymond, Ricky Buckshaw and Christine Monahan.
Reposing at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home, Monday February 28th 2-4, 7-9. Religious Service will be held Monday 3:00PM at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial at Church of Good Shepherd, Tuesday 10AM, 1370 Grundy Avenue, Holbrook. Interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorial contributions to be made to innocenceproject.org.
