Hudson – Joan-Therese of Holbrook, N.Y.  Born in Brooklyn to James and Anna O’Connor on May 5, 1933. Joan was married to her beloved late husband Randolph Alan Hudson Jr., Marine veteran of the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir and former Industrial Commissioner of Brookhaven Town.  Adored  mother of Randolph Alan Hudson lll (Marion Suter) and Hon. James C. Hudson (Christina).  Cherished  Grandmother of Mackenzie, Chelsea, Emily and Alexandra. Dear sister of Patricia Lonigan.

Joan was the retired Director of Suffolk County Office of Women’s Services where she worked tirelessly for issues concerning low income persons. Projects included creating the County Mobile Mammography van to assist the disadvantaged. She was a proud member of the National Women’s Republican Club, former President of the Suffolk County Federation of Republican Women, and former President of the N.Y. State Federation of Republican Women, honored to serve as delegate to several Republican conventions. Served as Executive Director of the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund.

Reposing Moloney’s Lake Funeral Home, 132 Ronkonkoma Ave., Ronkonkoma, NY  Sunday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, 9:45 am St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church , 800 Portion Rd., Ronkonkoma.
