James J. Russell

James J. Russell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 11, 2023, at the age of 72, in Boynton Beach, FL. Born in Rockville Centre, NY, on March 2, 1951, James was the son of Robert and Eileen Russell (Nee O’Hare).
James was happily married to his wife Patricia Russell (Nee Borsuk) for 53 years, and they had three children, Kimberly Goldman (Steve), Nicole Camargo (Glen), and Brian Russell. James was a loving Pop Pop and cherished spending time with his grandchildren, Olivia, Marissa, Sebastian & Xavier.
James had a passion for golfing and wine, and he worked as a wine importer for many years. He loved to travel the world to discover new wines and to play golf on the world’s best courses. He shared his love of wine with family and friends, always ready to uncork a new bottle and share its story. But more than anything he loved the simple joy of spending time with his family, which meant everything to him.
A wake will be held on Sunday, April 16, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Moloney’s Holbrook Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, at 10 am at Good Shepherd RC Church in Holbrook. Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
James J. Russell will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his memory will live on through the cherished stories and memories he shared with those who loved him.
