Jack F. Haughn, 93, of Eastport, NY, passed away on February 1, 2024. He was born on April 21, 1930, in Corona Queens, NY. Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, always ready with a joke to make his family laugh.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, June. Also by his sons Robert (Barbara) and Clifford (Clare), his daughter Kathy (Raymond Biderman), grandchildren Greg, Lauren (husband Christopher York), Erik (wife Amanda), Jimmy (wife Hanna), Lisa (husband Joey Smith), Jonathan & Julia, Matthew (wife Virginia), and great-grandchildren Everett York and Kaley Haughn. He was also deeply loved by his beloved dog, Lillie. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Herman and Viola, and his sister Norma.
Jack attended Center Moriches Primary School and Center Moriches High School. He proudly served in the US Navy from February 1951 to April 1954.
In his professional life, Jack worked at Chase Bank in Center Moriches for many years before moving to the branch in Southampton where he retired at the end of his career.
Jack worshipped at Eastport Bible Church in Eastport, NY. He loved spending time with his family, playing ping pong, cards, Aggravation, badminton, and wiffleball. He also enjoyed playing his organ, and although he didn’t think he was that talented, his wife and children loved to listen to him play.
A memorial service will be held at Moloney-Sinnicksons Funeral Home in Moriches, NY, on Thursday, February 8, from 4-8 pm.
The family kindly requests that any donations in Jack’s memory be made to the Eastport Bible Church.
