Hepsie J. Bywater

In memorial of Hepsie Jane Bywater who left this earth and became an Angel on June 30, 2021.  Hepsie was born on March 19, 1947 in Grinnell, Iowa to Barbara Roe (D) and Clifford Duncan(D).  She was pre-deceased by her son Raymond Bywater jr and sister Barbara Ann Duncan of Arkansas.  Her surviving sisters are Dodie Duncan and Jackie Akery.

Hepsie married Raymond Bywater on June 17, 1967 in New York City, N.Y.  Hepsie and Raymond moved to Bohemia, New York in 1971 when she was pregnant with her daughter Jennifer Woerter married to Richard Woerter.  Soon afterward, their son Raymond Bywater was born.

During her time on this earth she worked as an agent and a manager for several airlines.   She lived in Bohemia and only returned back to work when her children were in 5^th and 3^rd grade.  She wanted to work close to home so she chose to work at Macarthur Airport.  As the airport changed airlines came and went like Northeastern, Midway, Delta Express, Air Tran, Presidential, Continental, United Express, etc. and she managed them all.

She was given the gift of two beautiful grandsons who had the wonderful opportunity to grow up in the same home as their grandmother.  Tyler and Dylan Woerter were grandma’s best friends, constant companions and playmates.

Sadly Hepsie, wife, mother, grandmother and dear friend  passed away. She succumbed to the combination of COPD, diabetes, hypertension etc. She rallied many times these past 5 years after her cancer driven lobectomy but she couldn’t come back this time.

Deep thanks to all who in the past asked about her health and wished her well. It always made her feel better.
