Harvey William Roberts

 It is with great sadness that we share news of the passing of Harvey William Roberts on October 9, 2024 at the age of 93. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and in-law. He is survived by his children Adele, Luanne, Maria, John and Arthur and their spouses and partners and his grandchildren Aaron, Ethan, Adelia, Garett, Hunter, Leanne and Lauren. He also leaves behind loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 65 years, Eleanore (DeNardo) Roberts.

 Harvey was born on the family farm to his parents John and Gladys Roberts in Trivoli, Illinois. After graduating high school he joined the Air Force and served in Korea. After returning home he met the love of his life, Eleanore, while stationed on Long Island. The first 13 of their 65 years of marriage were spent in his hometown of Trivoli where he joined the Air National Guard in Peoria. They spent their remaining years on Long Island as he continued his career with the Air National Guard in Westhampton Beach. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant after 41 years of military service. 

In addition to spending time with his family, Harvey enjoyed flying his own airplane, bowling, gardening, hunting, fishing, playing cards and following Chicago Cubs baseball.

His patience, calm and practical approach to any problem, his dry sense of humor and story telling will be greatly missed.
