Graziella Matilda DePetro Glussich, a gracious and vibrant soul, passed away on January 30, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on July 24, 1939, in Turino, Italy, Graziella’s life was marked by resilience, love, and creativity. At just seven years old, she bravely left Italy with her mother during the turmoil of World War II, beginning a new chapter in Manhattan, New York, in 1946.The beloved daughter of Attilio DePetro and Maria Fogasso DePetro, Graziella grew up in New York, where she built a beautiful life filled with warmth and generosity. She was the devoted mother of Deborah Anne, Eric Jude, and Curt Anthony, and her legacy lives on through her five cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graziella had a zest for life that touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in the simple pleasures—playing cards with friends, dancing with a contagious energy, and expressing herself through painting. But above all, she loved spending time with her family, who were the heart of her world. Her gracious nature, loving spirit, and generous heart made her a source of comfort and inspiration to all. Graziella’s life story is one of survival, strength, and joy. She will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know and love her.
