Gerard J. Poulin, Jr.
December 17, 1932 – June 11, 2021
The world unknowingly lost a bit of its goodness when Gerard J. Poulin, Jr., age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11, 2021, with his family by his side.
Born in Inwood, New York on December 17, 1932, he was a loving partner and devoted father to his five children. He was an example that love of family, hard work, and integrity were the keys to a happy life.
A kind and generous man with a sense of humor, he often went out of his way to help others. As a Korean War veteran, he courageously earned three medals and he later retired as a crane operator with Local 138 Operating Engineers Union. He loved golf, woodworking, and creative projects including his recently renewed interest in oil painting. He also impressed many with his ability to text and use the internet at his advanced age.
He is survived by his loving companion, Grace Fahlbusch, his five children and their spouses, Doreen (Ken), Tommy (Elaine), Gary (Gina), Frank (Patty), Kenneth (Pam) and his nine grandchildren, Courtney (Mat), Corinne, Caraline, Gary, Diana, Darla, Frank, Olivia, and Kenneth, as well as his three great-grandchildren, Adelaide, Benjamin, Audrina and his former spouse, Harriet (Vicki).
He was a caring brother to Claire, Irene and Cecilia (predeceased) and loved his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family request that, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to one of the organizations below in the name of Gerard J. Poulin Jr.
