Genevieve Bartol

BARTOL – Genevieve “Gene” (nee Reilly), 88, of Centereach, New York and Boynton Beach, Florida, passed peacefully at home on January 20, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Genevieve is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Robert “Bob” Bartol.

Devoted mother to Robert Bartol Jr. (Mary), Ellen Mary Bartol, Eileen Rust (Paul), and Maria Bartol Gribbins (Brian).

Loving Granny to Kyle Gribbins (Jenna Klaus), Brianna Bartol, Shane Gribbins, Allison Bartol, and Genevieve Rust.

Beloved sister of Patricia and Eugene Quinn (d.), Alice Thompson (George), Kathleen Vacca (Joseph d.), Carol Martinez (Vincent) and sister-in-law of Ernest T. Bartol, Esq. and Christine Pillis Bartol.

Cherished Aunt to many nieces and nephews and treasured friend to many.

Genevieve worked as the Secretary to several Presiding Officers at the Suffolk County Legislature and retired as the Secretary to the Suffolk County Sheriff.
