Obituary for Gary Paul Brauneisen

Gary Paul Brauneisen of Bohemia NY, passed away on November 11, 2022 after a brief unexpected illness.

Gary was born on August 24, 1948 to Grace and Frank Brauneisen in Astoria, Queens. Upon graduating Brentwood High School he started a long career at Entenmann’s Bakery in Bayshore, LI.

Gary married his wife Lorraine (nee Fasano) who predeceased him in 2019. They had one child, a daughter, BethAnne whom Gary resided with along with her husband Christopher Gullo and their son, Anthony, his only grandchild. Upon retirement in 2008 Gary spent much of his time looking after Anthony as a young child.

Over the years Gary enjoyed many lifelong friendships and activities. He was an avid sports fan including the NY Rangers, Yankees and Jets. He was able to travel on family trips and was often the life of the parties. Gary was also an animal lover and caretaker. He was loved and adored by many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Guide Dog Foundation where he volunteered for several years.
