Frederick William Prinz

Frederick W. Prinz January 5, 1942 – March 17, 2025

Frederick W. Prinz passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday morning, with his son Kevin by his side.

A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Frederick leaves behind his three sons: Michael, Matthew, and Kevin; seven grandchildren: Michael Jr., Danielle, Desiree, Mitchell, Kyler, Conner, and Casey; and ten great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Lily, Lincoln, Hanna, Layla, Olivia, Carter, Maverick, Jolene, and Isabela.

Born and raised on Long Island, Frederick spent much of his life there before enjoying his years as a Florida snowbird. In recent years, he returned to Long Island, where his heart truly belonged.

An electrician by trade, Frederick was also a man of many talents, excelling in masonry, carpentry, and machine operation. Known for his generosity, he was always the first to lend a helping hand—or even the shirt off his back—to those in need. Frederick had a larger-than-life personality, often described as the “life of the party,” and his warmth and charm were felt by all who knew him.

Frederick's life was marked by resilience and reinvention. Despite facing challenges in his later years, he embraced them with grace and an indomitable spirit. Words like persevering, honorable, strong, and loving only begin to describe the man he was. Known affectionately as “the mayor” of any community he lived in, Frederick welcomed countless visitors and cherished every connection.

Above all, Frederick treasured his family. His love, strength, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of the many who had the privilege to know and love him. He will be deeply missed.
