Frank Lombardo - Heaven has gained a legend. Not just from family but from so many circles of live music enthusiasts, philanthropic groups, the legal community, and more. There are beautiful reunions going on in Heaven today. We can see Angela’s huge, playful smile, feel Aunt Joanne’s warm hug, hear Aunt Tessie’s signature laughter, and sense Aunt Camille’s welcoming heart. But down here, all across Long Island and beyond, we are grieving the loss of a cousin, uncle, brother and friend. They say each of us is only 6 degrees of separation from the next, but we feel like with Frank it was only ever 3. You knew you were in for a good time with Frank; some sarcasm, a lot of laughs, some little known facts, exaggerated eyes throughout, and always interesting, interested, good natured conversation. Frank was always generously sponsoring and promoting fundraisers to benefit those in need, particularly the most vulnerable among us. The only thing bigger than his reach and reputation was his passion for live music and a good time, and of course, his heart. Those of us lucky enough to hold space in there, know he was the kind of person who lived, listened and loved fiercely- especially his family. His siblings and nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and all of his cousins, and friends who became like family, were his absolute world. There will never be another Frank Lombardo, and we will all miss him terribly.
