Loving husband to Elissa. Father to Dawn, Terry, Paul and Laura. Father in-Law to Diana, Tim, Greg and Dave. Grandfather to Alex, Marie, Jonathan, James, Jason and Mark. Frank was was a true family man and his love for his wife Elissa was incredible and ever growing. They were married for 60 year. Frank and Elissa have known each other since they were 6&7 years old, when Frank, his brother and parents moved onto the same block as Elissa. According to his children, He taught them to be true to themselves, the importance of family, being respectful of others and standing up for what you strive for. He shared the love of music, craftsmanship and an occasional bad joke with his family. Frank worked hard and was highly respected at his profession but always put family first.
He was known as Frank, Frankie or Brother. He took pride in his children, daughter In-law, son In-Laws and loved everything about his grandchildren and proud of what each of them were growing towards.Throughout the his life, Frank was known to help so many family members and friends And he loved spending time with them. The name Cammarata means friend or comrade and his friends and family have noted that he truly lived up to his name.
With all of the complexities in life, Frank was known to help keep things simple and below is one of his favorite quotes that speaks to that notion and According to his family it encompasses Frank’s full being and personality:
A Smile:
A Smile costs nothing, but gives much.
It enriches those who receive, without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it, and none is so poor, but that he can be made rich by it.
A Smile creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and it is nature’s best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone, until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile;
Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.
His family’s hope is that when you think of Frank, it puts a smile on your face.
