Frances Rose Forst

Frances (Rose) Forst, of Huntington, New York, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2020, at the age of 77 in Wayland, Massachusetts after a courageous battle with Frontotemporal Dementia,(FTD, also known as Pick’s Disease.)

Frances was the only child born to the late William T. and Mildred Rose. She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce “Scott” Forst; daughter, Cherie (Forst) Castellano and her husband Stephen of Nesconset, NY; son, Scott Forst and his wife April (Methot) Forst of Wayland, MA; and grandchildren, Briana Castellano, Kristina Castellano, Gabriella Castellano, Stephen Castellano, Eliana Forst and William Forst.

After graduating from SUNY New Paltz, Frances taught elementary school until she had children. While raising two children, she spent much of her time working tirelessly to find homes for animals. Eventually, she dedicated her entire life to animal rescue. Frances was most known for her kindness, generosity and selfless giving of her time and resources to those in need.

A private burial will be held in Huntington Rural Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
