Frances J. Lankowicz

Frances Jean Lankowicz, 87, died peacefully in her Bohemia, NY home on Thursday, November 3 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

Fran was born to Isabella and Leonardo and was raised in the town of Ellenville, NY. She attended Ellenville High School which she fondly recalled as one of the best times in her life. After graduating from St. Rose College in Albany, New York, she moved to Long Island to begin her teaching career in the Babylon School District where she met her husband Anthony Lankowicz. Together, they started a family that eventually grew to 8 children that they raised in their Bohemia home.

Frances was predeceased by her brother Mauro (Nancy), and her husband Anthony, and is survived by her brother Michael (Melody) and her loving children Paul (Ann), Andrew (Anita), James (Danielle), Matthew (Doreen), John (Jenny), Pete (Donna), Tom (Eileen) and Anne (Chris). Fran was adored by her 17 grandchildren Lauren, Kristie, Colette, Kyle, Katie, Kevin, Liam, Corrine, Erin, Anthony, Allie, Alexia, Samantha, Michael, Rileigh, Megan and Jack. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter Lily.

A funeral mass will be celebrated in her honor on Monday, November 14 at 11:15 AM at St. John Nepomucene RC Church in Bohemia.
