Florence C. Schumchyk

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence C. Schumchyk, who peacefully left this world on October 15, 2024, at the age of 99. Born in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on April 10, 1925, Florence Schumchyk was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to her family in Holbrook, New York. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Schumchyk, and caring mother of Gail Black (Gregory) and the late Thomas Schumchyk (Karen).

Florence will be fondly remembered as a cherished grandmother to Thomas, Karen, Jonathan, Michael, and Marita, and a loving great-grandmother to Justin, Christina, Andrew, Jennifer, Samantha, Meadow, Nathaniel, and Maisie. 

She was involved with the small church community with Good Shepherd in Holbrook where she made many lifetime friends. 

A woman of grace and compassion, Florence's memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her unwavering love and kindness will forever be treasured.
