Eugene was the son of the late Mae and Frank Roach.

Adored grandfather to Tommy Roach Jr., Emily Roach, John Roach Jr., Jason Roach, Jamie Roach, Sean Reilly Jr., Anya Reilly, Alaina Reilly and Andrew Miller.
Beloved Brother of Joan Mangieri and the late Sam Mangieri.
Beloved Brother in law to Elaine Franzitta and the late Joseph Franzitta.
Adored fiancé of Rosemary Babitch.
Beloved Uncle (“Unk”) to Diane & Michael DeRop, Michael & Hollie Mangieri, Jeryl Mangieri, Brianna Pomatico, Daniel & Tayler Huntington, Alyssa & Conor Verron, Steven Mangieri, Cristin & Giovanni Mauro, Joseph & Gina Franzitta (Alessia), the late Elyse Franzitta.

Eugene was a highly decorated Lieutenant of the NYTPD and NYPD for 32 years.

Graduate of City University with a B.A. in English & Literature.
Substitute teacher, Former board member of the NYPD – USMC Association.
Member of the American Legion Post 155, Alzheimer’s Association, Autism Speaks, The Audubon Society and the Nature Conservatory.
Eugene enjoyed golfing, crossword puzzles, fishing, bird watching, reading classical literature. He was a self proclaimed bad poet and terrible playwright.
His favorite place in the world was Speculator, NY in the Adirondack Mountains.
Eugene’s favorite thing to do was being surrounded by his family especially his grandchildren.
