Elizabeth “Betty” Meyers
Elizabeth exuded beauty inside and out. Her vibrant, loving personality drew people to her throughout her life. Starting out in the secretary pool back in the 1960s at TIAA-CREF She steadily was promoted ultimately to executive secretary to the vice president and proudly ending her career there in Human Resources.
Betty a 24 year survivor of stage 4 colon cancer had a strong will to live life to the fullest. She loved music, to sing and dance at every opportunity. She enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband Bill and she’s joke it was her monthly trips to Las Vegas after a chemo treatment that cured her cancer rather than the actual chemo.
Children naturally flocked to Betty and she adored them with open arms and a big smile….she was delighted by her grandchildren.
Betty generously donated to just about every charitable organization possible. She was a true giver and gave all who met her a piece of her heart.
