Elizabeth A. Ayers

Ayers, Elizabeth A. of Smithtown, NY on March 4, 2022 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John J. Marrinan. Loving mother of the late Joseph Ayers III, Kathleen Ayers-Lanzillotta (Paul) and Lynda Page. Cherished grandmother of Joseph Lanzillotta, Denise Lanzillotta, Michelle Page and Kelly Page. Predeceased by brother William McLoone, and sisters Dorothy Grant and Mary Bruce. Betty Ayers was a pioneer in the New York State addiction service delivery system. She was among the first credentialed alcoholism counselors in 1979. She dedicated her career to helping individuals and families struggling with addiction in our community. Betty enjoyed RV camping with John, gardening and cooking for her family and will be missed.
