Born in Brooklyn on January 17th, 1934 to James and Helen Horan. Eileen was the loving sister of the late James Horan(Helen), and Maureen Barrett(William) and beloved wife of Gerard Cunningham, who pre-deceased her in 1987. Surrounded by family, she was a longtime resident of Nesconset, and dedicated parishioner at St Joseph’s RC Church. She lived by her deep and abiding Christian faith. Among her many accomplishments, Eileen was a 1992 graduate of St. Joseph’s College with a BA in Psychology and received her MS in Counseling from CW Post in 1995. She enjoyed spending time with family, reading great books, watching classic movies and mystery series, singing her favorite music, discussing current events and cheering on the Mets. She will be always loved by her seven children, Patricia Seaman(Michael), Mary Ellen Cunningham, Rita Hackett, Christopher Cunningham(Kim), Gerard Cunningham, Kathleen Panella(Patrick), Thomas Cunningham, and thirteen favorite grandchildren, Elizabeth, Breandan, Jack, and James Cunningham, Hugh and Christopher Hackett, Daniel and Joan Seaman, Patrick, Sean, Isabelle and Aiden Panella and Nathaniel Cunningham, as well as all her wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews.
