Edward W. Tappin, Jr.

Edward W. Tappin Jr. 1942-2020, age 77 passed away peacefully on June 20th.  He was born December 29, 1942 in Manhattan, NY to Edward and Eleanor Tappin. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Capogrosso (Eugene) and preceded in death by his sister, Arlene (Edward).   He eloped and married the love of his life, Margaret (Coffey) Tappin, in September of 1960 who preceded him in death in 2015.  Edward worked for 40+ years at Con Edison in Manhattan.  He  loved to be with people and worked faithfully in the Holbrook Ambulance Corp and served as chaplain for Holbrook Fire Department.  Edward helped in the teachings and blessings of His Word as a Deacon for Good Shepherd Church in Holbrook.  Edward is the beloved father of his 4 children: William (Megan), Patricia, John (Robert), and Edward (Nancy), 10 grandchildren: Daniel (Windy), Amanda (John), William, Jake, Brayden, Emily, Alyssa, Andrew, Abigail, and Arya, and 4 great-grandchildren: Austin, Shelby, Hudson, and Grady.
