Edda Jacobs

Smithtown, NY – Edda Schumann Jacobs passed away November 1, 2021 at home and surrounded by her loving daughters and amazing aide, Aleida. Born on December 14, 1939 to Hermann and Gertrude (Hohensteiner) Schumann; she was the younger sister of Sonia. Edda loved to spend time with her family and many friends, and had a great sense of humor. She was an amazing wife, mother, and friend. She loved to travel to Aruba with her husband Dan, play board games and card games, especially with the Breeze Avenue Card Group since 1970. Edda is pre-deceased by her loving husband, Dan. She leaves behind her children, Jeanne (Michael), Joyce (Edward) and Robert (Patricia), grandchildren Lorenzo, Matthew, Eric, Kyle and Kirstie, and step-grandchildren Chrissy, Danielle, David and Adam, and several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for both Edda and Dan will be held on January 8, 2022 from 1 – 5 pm at the Tribute Center at Moloney Funeral Home, 132 Ronkonkoma Avenue, Lake Ronkonkoma, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org/donate.
