Dorothy M. Stein

Stein, Dorothy (nee Zelezny) – of Central Islip, age 85, passed away on February 11, 2023.Dorothy was born in Brooklyn, NY to Theodore and Hilda Zelezny.
Dorothy is survived by her daughters; Diana and Dorothy, her grandchildren; Deirdre and Derek, and her great grandchildren; Dexter and Delilah.
Dorothy was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Central Islip. She also ran the Central Islip Historic Preservation Society as well as being a Long Island Ducks Mom.
Viewing will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00PM to 9:00PM at Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home, 840 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, NY 11788.
Services for Dorothy will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 10:00 AM at First United Methodist Church of Central Islip. Burial will follow at First Methodist Cemetery at 11:00AM in Central Islip, NY.
