Dorothy "Dolly" Snyder

Snyder, Dorothy beloved mother, grandmother and commercial real estate broker, died Friday, December 3, at her home in Belle Terre, New York. She was 89 years old.

A lifelong fan of Long Island, she loved to take long drives to the North Fork with her family.

Dolly is the daughter of Josephine and Anthony Musolino. She was born Dorothy Margaret Musolino on July 10, 1932 in Brooklyn New York.  Her loves were her family, her dog BJ, and putting together a real estate deal. Nobody worked harder.

She thrived as one of the first female commercial real estate brokers on Long Island, putting together many successful deals. She never really slowed down. It was her love. Her two children, Steven (Yulia) and Robert (Susan) who survive her, remember her steady advice over the years. She always said “Put your money in the dirt”, something they never forgot.

In addition to her children Steven and Robert Snyder. Dolly is mourned by five beautiful and colorful grandchildren. Christopher, Kristin, Danielle, Nicole, and Jenna, along with one great grandchild, Declan. She is also survived by two siblings, Joyce Arenella and Vinnie Muscolino and a niece Elizabeth Fasulo. Her brother Ralph Muscolino and mother Josephine Arenella awaits Dolly in heaven, as does her beloved husband Sam who proceeded her death in 1975. They will once again dance together, something they loved to do.

Dolly passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family and her caretaker team, which was beyond amazing. Dolly loved each and every one of those girls….and her family is forever grateful for them.
