Dorothea T. Starr

Starr – Dorothea T. age 89, of Stony Brook passed on Sunday November 19th. Loving mother of Patricia Kirdahy (Kevin(deceased)), Scott Starr (Laurie) and Jesse “Jay” Starr (deceased).
Dorothea’s pride and joy were her four grandchildren, Melissa Kirdahy-Pugh (Rich), Justin, Matthew, and Taylor Starr. Dorothea is survived by Patricia Colucciello and is predeceased by siblings Eric, Edward, John and Francis Hammond, Mary Bauer and Margaret Peers. Loving Aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her compassion to all around her and will be missed by her many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the American Cancer Society.
