Donna M. Tizzano, 69, passed away on January 6, 2022 surrounded by loved ones at Stonybrook University Hospital. She survived a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2020 but demonstrated her trademark strength and resiliency by making it home to her loving family in 2021. She ultimately succumbed after a short but courageous battle with cancer.
Donna was born in 1952 to Francis and Paul Mannina, and lived in Elmont and Franklin Square until moving to Holtsville in 1974. Donna’s primary career was homemaker and mother, at which she excelled. She also worked as a secretary and receptionist throughout the years.
Donna was an avid reader and most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, particularly her beloved grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than cooking for her family and spoiling her grandsons. She was a trusted confidant to many and will be remembered for her warm spirit, strength and generosity.
Donna is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bob, her daughter Stacey (Gil) Weber of Holtsville and her son Christopher (Kristen) Tizzano of Lloyd Harbor, and her beloved grandsons Justin Weber and Benjamin and Henry Tizzano. She is also survived by her sisters Diane (Joe) Saudo of Mineola and Emilie Derkazarian of Alexandria, Virginia, her sister-in-law Clementine (Michael) Artusa of Holbrook, and several beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces.
