Dionisio G. Espiritu

d. April 11, 2020

Dionisio “Dennis” G. Espiritu passed away right before Easter, on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at 11:52pm. He was born in Paranaque, Philippines, and the son of Jose Espiritu and late Susana G. Espiritu. Survived by his wife, Nerissa; son, Dionner (and wife Laureen); daughter, Nicole; sister, Judith; and brother Ferdinand.
His parents and grandparents offered their devotion to St. Dionysius (San Dionisio) and remained faithful to God by serving in church, as Dennis would often get sick as an infant.
Dennis was a dedicated young man, finished his studies as an engineer and became the breadwinner of the family. Dreaming for a better future, he migrated to California and later moved to New York. Through hard work and with the help of his loving relatives, he was able to build a life for himself.
Dennis stayed steadfast to the Lord throughout his life. By God’s grace he has brought joy and touched so many people’s lives with his generosity, sharing his time, talent and treasure. Together with his wife, they entered the Charismatic Renewal and led their children in serving at different church communities, through the gift of music.
Undeniably Dennis was a good anak (son), asawa (husband), daddy, in-law, kapatid (brother), pamangkin (nephew), pinsan (cousin), tito (uncle), ninong (godfather), coworker, kaibigan (friend) and servant of God; a quiet man with a huge heart, simple in his ways, selfless and courageous. He might have lost his battle to COVID-19, but he won the war and got the greatest reward, to be home with our Heavenly Father
