Dante J. Laurino

Dante was a loving husband, father, and loyal member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. As the founder of A Flotilla 1-2 Division 1, First Southern Region located in Amityville NY, Commodore Dante Laurino helped design and implement The Auxiliary Chef Program.

The AUXCHEF(Auxiliary Chef) program is a National Auxiliary Program designed to provide trained auxiliary members to fill in at small boat stations or on cutters to relieve Food Service Specialists (usually only one assigned to a small station covering three meals a day, seven days a week) This AUXCHEF Program allows Food Service Specialists to attend training, take leave, ect. without the station being short handed.
