Constance Randazzo known as Connie, a former resident of Massapequa Park and life-long New Yorker at heart, died March 30, 2020.
Connie was born in Queens to Theresa and William Becker. She grew up, together with her younger sister Barbara, in Ozone Park, Queens. In the summer, they often went to Lake George or her grandmother’s bungalow out in Lake Ronkonkoma. She moved to Long Island shortly after marrying Ernest (Ernie) Randazzo, the love of her life. They were married 52 + years. Together, they built a life and raised four children, David, Kenneth, Donna, and Keith. Known as Nana by her grandchildren Tyler, Eric, Irfan, and Nurin and she adored them.
Connie maintained many lifelong friendships, some over 65+ years who she frequently spoke to. She was always an avid reader and would devour a book in a matter of days. Connie loved animals and passed that love of animals and reading down to her children. Another of her favorite things was to travel. She was able to visit Europe a few times, many trips to California and the West coast, and a special trip with Ernie to Alaska.
Connie will be buried next to her one true love, Ernie who preceded her in death. She is survived by her 4 children David, Kenneth, Donna, and Keith; and 4 grandchildren Tyler, Eric, Irfan, and Nurin; and 3 “granddogs” Jackson, Ike and Dublin. She will be greatly missed, but she lives on in her children and grandchildren and in the memories of those who knew her.
Donations in her honor may be sent to Moffitt Cancer Center www.give.moffitt.org OR The Tampa Humane Society https://humanesocietytampa.org/
