Christopher Marshall Picken, 52, of East Patchogue, NY, peacefully passed away the evening of September 18, 2024 following a very difficult battle with colon cancer. At the time of his passing, Chris was in the comfort of his wife Anne and daughter Rileigh.


Chris was born to Marshall and Carolyn on October 30, 1971. He graduated from Patchogue-Medford High School followed by an undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and a Master’s plus degree from Stony Brook University. For 22 years Chris was a popular and well respected college professor at Suffolk County Community College in Selden, NY. Many of his former students ended up involved in caring for Chris at nearly every medical facility he received treatment from. He really made a difference in many of his students lives and the medical care they provide to many others.


Chris was married to Anne Picken for 23 years and was the proud best dad ever (BDE) to his 16 year old daughter Rileigh Picken.


Chris is survived by his wife Anne and loving daughter Rileigh along with his parents and sister Meredith (Michael) and brother Matthew(Erin) with whom he had a very close relationship with. Additionally he has seven more brother in laws Paul, Andrew, James, Matthew, John, Peter, and Tom. Chris was an uncle to 20 nieces and nephews Lauren, Kristie, Colette, Kyle, Katie, Kevin, Liam, Corinne, Erin, Anthony, Allie, Alexia, Samantha, Michael, Nicholas, Grace, Megan, Jack, Logan and Brody.
