It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Christine Sommer. The word most used to describe her is kind. Her kindness is as lovely as her sparkling blue eyes and warm smile. She is a shining example of always putting family first. Christine was devoted to her husband, Phil, for over 60 years. She planted the seeds of being a good person, working hard, following your dreams and giving care for her adoring daughters, Tina and Lori. She was so very proud of her granddaughters, Jacqueline and Julia and the beautiful women they grew up to be. Her great granddaughter, Saylor, brought her new life and joy like no other. She was also blessed with a loving extended family, loving nieces and nephews, and dear friends that became family. Chris and Phil built a home away from home in Naples, Florida for their family to create new treasured moments, view gorgeous sunsets, and build a new circle of cherished friends. Christine leaves behind shattered hearts and a lifetime of memories filled with love, family, friends, travels, adventures and so much laughter. We miss her terribly and are forever lost without her but give thanks that we have the eternal gift of her.
