Carmela Macdonald

Carmela MacDonald (née Ambrosio) of Mastic Beach, NY past peacefully on January 4th 2019 after a long battle with cancer.  She was 67 years old.  Loving and devoted mother to her son Christopher and daughter-in-law, Ariana, cherished sister of Fred, Patti (Masciale) and Andrea (Bianco), beloved brother-in-laws Michael & Donald and sister-in-law Esther adored aunt of Pasquale, Freddie, Danielle, Jackie, Tommy, Dominick, Todd, Keri & Eleni.  Great Aunt to Anthony, Sienna, Mikayla & Ryan.

Born in Naples, Italy, she came to this country in 1953 at two years old.  She grew up in Huntington Station and graduated from Huntington High School.  She worked for All State Insurance for twelve years and later moved out to Mastic Beach where she was active at St. Jude’s RC Church.  She was a member of the chorus and was a catechist for ten years.  She was also a volunteer at the local library.  She was a devout Catholic and a valuable member of her community.
