Barbara Tripodo (formerly known as Barbara McCabe) was a resident of Plainview, NY for many years. Barbara retired from North Shore University Hospital at Plainview in 1996, and moved to Melbourne, Florida. Apparently, she wasn’t quite ready for retirement because she went back to work at Brevard Alzheimer’s Day Care in the front office doing many administrative duties. In 2008 she decided to move back to New York to be around her family, which we are grateful for. She leaves behind her brother Ed Fitzpatrick, Her five daughters Linda, Eileen, Laura, Pat and Barbara, three sons-in-law Richie, Bob and Chris. She was also blessed to have many grandchildren Katie, Richie, Laura, Deanna, Mike, Lisa, Matthew, Makayla, Morgan, Julianna, Kieran and last but not least her Great Grandson Gavin who affectionately knew her as GG. Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Barbara knew that she was a caring, compassionate and loving person who was always so much fun to be around. She would have turned 90 years old next month and we all wish we could have celebrated with her. A beautiful sparkling star shines brightly in the sky and will watch over us always.
