On January 4, 2019, Anthony Joseph Raccasi passed from complications of cancer. He was born on October 23, 1991. Anthony had battled and survived Leukemia two times, and then received a bone marrow transplant from his sister Christina. After fighting pneumonia, his body could no longer handle the stress induced from this disease.
He is survived by his mother, Jackie Cali and his father and step-mother Anthony and Gina Raccasi, as well as his sister Christina Raccasi; step brother and sister Matthew and Christina Foundos; girlfriend Nicole Herbst; aunt and uncle Lucy and Santo Vecchio; Uncle Natale Caruso and grandparents Giuseppe and Giuseppina Caruso; cousins Stephen and Mia Vecchio; his two small children, Austin & Christian Raccasi, and his beloved pet Rocky. He is predeceased by his grandparents Linda & Henry Raccasi, and his pets Jake & Lulu. He was a strong and serious sports fan of The Steelers, Yankees, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Philadelphia 76ers. He was also an avid bowler and enjoyed hanging out with his many friends. We will miss your enthusiasm and passion as you watched your favorite teams play. You truly bled black and gold till the end and had a heart of Steel. We will miss your beautiful smile and funny antics. Through all the pain and discomfort you endured, your ability to push through with quiet strength always inspired and taught us all what true resiliency is. You were the best son and brother anyone could ever ask for. Your love, loyalty and strength will live in all of us, and we will miss you tremendously. You will always be “Raccasi Strong”. Thank you for allowing us to love you for the short amount of time we had you. Until we see each other again….We Love You Always.
