Annette Rose Marino

Annette Rose Marino, 70, of Nesconset, NY, passed away at her home surrounded by her beloved family on Thursday, July 28, 2022, after a one-year battle with lung cancer. Born in Brooklyn, New York to the late Grace (Zizzo) and Robert Philip Hook. Annette was a loving mother, Nannie, friend and neighbor who, while her children were young, was known as the neighborhood mom, nurse, haircutter, babysitter, and chauffer. She later worked as a bookkeeper at the family business, Burt Lumber. She loved spending time with her family and friends, gardening, going to the beach, and traveling. She is survived by her husband, James Marino, Jr., her children Keri (Daryl) Stevens, James (Phyllis) Marino IV, Paul (Ashley) Marino, Alyssa (Erik) Nordmann, eight grandchildren—William Stevens, Blaise Stevens, Annabella Stevens, Gabrielle Stevens, Eva Marino, Leo Marino, Lilliana Nordmann and Declan Nordmann—as well as her siblings Bill Hook, John Hook, and Janet Hook.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Moloney’s Lake Funeral Home in Lake Ronkonkoma with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. On Thursday, August 4th, Funeral Service will begin at Moloney’s at 10:00 am with Burial Service to follow at 11:00 am at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Coram.
